This is an AR15A4, which is the legal semi-auto-only version of the M16A4, but this one is in an M16A2 configuration (parts, etc.). The only difference between this and a M16A2 is 1. it’s semi auto only and 2. the bridge rail is detachable on the AR15A4 while on the M16A2 it’s integrated on the the gun; thus it can’t be removed on the A2.
This rifle is chambered in ammo.
Since this is more of an A2 than an A4, I will explain what the A2 was.
The M16A2 was introduced in the 1970’s-80’s. It was adopted by the US Marines in 1983, and by the US Army in 1986. It replaced the M16A1, the M16 used in the Vietnam War. They continued to use this same weapon up until only recently, as of 2021.
It’s a very nice weapon. Recoil is VERY low, as usual with these style rifles. I love the bridge sight as well. The polymer stock and fore-end grip are also really nice as well. It’s a great weapon that makes you feel like you’re in the 80’s.
10/10!
