WW2 M8 Scott Footage. Pt 1.

The 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 was a self-propelled howitzer vehicle that was developed on the chassis of the M5 Stuart tank and was equiped with a M116 howitzer in an M7 mount. The M8 was used to give infantry close support against enemy fortified positions. It proofed to be really effective in hilly terrain, because of it’s high elevation of the howitzer it could hit enemy positions that were set up on high positions. The M8 was produced from 1942 until 1944 and approximately 1,778 were made and it would stay in service until 1960.
