Medieval Trebuchet Launches Flaming Projectiles (ends badly)

When I worked on the tree repairs I made the axle alignments worse. The counterweight box was hitting the frame consistently on either side despite having what was normally enough clearance. We ran the machine anyway and it turned out to be a big mistake. When you have a giant trebuchet, you eventually have to throw things that are on fire. Just, don’t let that fire burn through your rope when you are going for the money shot... The machine dry-fired and the box had enough energy to swing up past the supports and come back down sideways right into one. It’s a testament to the rest of the frame that the whole machine didn’t implode.
