The Neet short name for Neetroplus nematopus, or his nickname Poor Man’s Tropheus. I filmed Neetroplus nematopus in the North-East of Costa Rica in a number of rivers that have their sources in the Central Mountain Range. In this video you can see the type of habitats in which this beautiful and popular cichlid lives. Furthermore, some information about its breeding behavior and with which other cichlid species it occurs. Interesting information for setting up an aquarium habitat specifically for Neetroplus nematopus and even the species they occur within the rivers.
