“The Last Supper” illustrates the scene of Jesus establishing the New Covenant Passover the night before His crucifixion. In this painting, the disciples are sitting together on either side of Jesus. On the table, there are bread and a cup of wine. However, there is a little-known story behind this painting. In the painting, Jesus’ hands are positioned on the table. However, in the first completed painting, it is said that a cup was held in Jesus’ right hand. The original is quite different from the picture we know today.
