William Olvis sings ’Serenade’ from “The Student Prince“

This comes from the 1954 Sigmund Romberg bio-pic ’Deep in My Heart,’ with Jose Ferrer as the great Broadway composer. ’The Student Prince’ was one of his greatest operetta successes and in the movie the famous ’Serenade’ was sung by tenor William Olvis. Perhaps the synchronised choreography by the chorus boys in the background is a trifle distracting, but it’s a reminder that film studios don’t make movies like this anymore!
