Scorched Earth Toys @ and reviews Bandai’s DX VF-1J “Chogokin 50th Annivesary“ version. The VF-1 is the heroic protagonist mecha from the hit show Super Dimension Fortress Macross and its adaptation Robotech: The Macross Saga. Chogokin is ’super alloy’ and was used as a marketing term for toys that featured metal construction. The 50th anniversary is of the term ’chogokin’ being used by Popy, a subsidiary of Bandai.
