Martin Kohlstedt - JUL (live in a corridor)

Played live on a Yamaha CP70 piano in a never ending hallway of Weimar, Germany. This one-take was filmed by Lena Tabea Matthias on an Iphone. The original piece is taken from his upcoming album FLUR which will be released on the 27th of November 2020. JUL is a companion of mine for many years now – appearing when things changed fundamentally, when it felt like something new was about to happen just to merrily disappear again a little later without ever taking shape, really. FLUR as a whole album in context with the other pieces now offered the proper habitat for JUL to stay and develop into a proper piece.
