Steam Deck OLED review: Beauty in the beast

This is not the Steam Deck 2.0. The Steam Deck OLED is a mid-cycle refresh, similar to the Switch OLED, but there’s a lot more going on under the hood here. The new Steam Deck’s main upgrade is its * OLED screen, which replaces the original 7-inch LCD and, crucially, adds support for HDR. Upgraded guts, more storage and improved weight distribution make this feel like the definitive version of the Steam Deck, and in rare Valve fashion, it’s arriving just under two years after the original’s release.
