Hanuman Ji himself is the main priest of this temple in Kerala. He placed the Vigrahas here during the Treta Yuga era. This is Makreri Temple Situated in Kannur district, Kerala, India. The History behind this Murthi is that during the Treta Yuga, while searching for Goddess Sita, God Rama, Lakshmana, and Hanuman reached a place called Peralassery. There, God Rama felt the presence of God Subramanya. He asked Hanuman Ji to bring a Vigraha from the Himalayas to place at that spot. It took some time for Hanuman Ji to bring the Vigraha, so when the auspicious moment for installation arrived, God Rama used his Great Bangle as the Vigraha. When Hanuman Ji arrived, they placed the second Vigraha in this Makreri Temple. To perform jalabhisheka to the Vigraha, Hanuman Ji created a huge pond by striking the ground with his tail. This pond still exists near the temple. there are Murthis of God Vishnu in the form of God Rama, God Ganapathi, and God Hanuman in this temple.
