“Canterbury Welcomes Refugees“ Marsh Family LIVE set of 3 songs - incl. Bridge Over Troubled Water

On 6 October 2023 we were delighted to provide some live music at the start of a Canterbury Welcomes Refugees event “A Shared Harvest“ at St. Mary Bredin Church, after some inspiring comments from Rt Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop of Dover. We played three songs: See Your Face Again (our own, originally featuring Ali Esmahilzada), Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon & Garfunkel), and Poor Wayfaring Stranger (traditional/adapted). We were also honoured and humbled to share two songs at the end (not included here), accompanying the Canterbury For Ukraine Ladies’ Choir - who are an amazing group, directed by Joanna Chapman. Huge thanks to Svenja Powell for hosting this important event with compassion and community at its heart, and to Mark and Harry for help with sound. And everyone who attended and supported it, and didn’t throw food at us.
