Kevlar leash breaks! Rod goes over while goliath grouper fishing!

We’ve been doing goliath grouper charters for 10yrs and this is the first time this has ever happened to us. We’ve caught over 1000 goliath grouper over the years and we have our system dialed in. Because of the dock area we fish, the drag has to be locked down. Every inch given is an inch closer to being cut off. We don’t use a harness because the majority of the clients we take are inexperienced and the last thing you want to be is attached to a 400lb fish going over the side of the boat.
