Tampa Police Chase Armed Suspect Through City Before Shootout

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Tampa, Florida — On July 17, 2023, responded to reports of a woman injured in a stabbing at N. 35th Street, off E. 18th Ave. When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from 13 stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and is currently listed in stable condition. Police say the man, now identified as 33-year-old Michael Bresnahan, stabbed the mother of his children. At the time of the stabbing, their three children, all between the ages of two and six, witnessed the violent attack. After responding to the report, Tampa Police officers spotted the suspect vehicle. When Bresnahan, pointed an AK-47 at officers, they engaged in a pursuit. Body-worn camera and aviation footage show the suspect failing to stop his vehicle, driving erratically, crashing through fences, and avoiding stop-sticks, before crashing into a car of innocent community members.
