Geting Porn out of School Libraries, with Brooke Stephens

Brooke Stephens is the mother of four and is on the board of Utah Parents United. She has been trying to remove explicit books from public schools and has found it to be much harder than anticipated. So far she has worked to get a law passed in Utah (HB374), created a website () and started the Laverna in the Library Facebook page in an effort to counter the narrative of books bans and to stop the sexualization of children. I found this conversation very informative, and I hope you will, too. I was shocked at the volume of explicit material that schools are promoting and providing to children, and I think the book rating system Brooke details in this video will be a great resource for parents. ____________________________________________________________________________________ To contact me: I am on twitter @JLeslieElliott If you wish to contribute to my legal fund, thank you!
