The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said Luke Truesdell admitted to the brutal beatings that left four dead and even led deputies to his weapon of choice. Truesdell reportedly “admitted to several motives including that a movie would be made about the killings,” the complaint said. Deputies responded to a location in Marion, Iowa on June 5 where they found four victims with severe head injuries. Three of the victims were dead at the scene and the other died at the hospital. Surveillance video placed Truesdell at the scene of the murders of Keonna Victoria Ryan, 26, Romondus Lamar Cooper, 44, Amanda Sue Parker, 33, and Brent Anthony Brown, 34. Truesdell has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder.
