1964 Marathon Gasoline Commercial with Detroit Lions Players and Coaches

Boy, there’s a lot going on in this commercial. First, you’ve got some football Greats appearing from the Detroit Lions, Coach George Wilson Driving an antique Overland, Dick “Night Train“ Lain driving a Corvette, and Yale and family driving their 1964 Plymouth Fury Suburban Wagon. On top of that, you can see cross marketing going on with the Studebaker Avanti when it makes an appearance on a Marathon Station Billboard. Finally, the Great Jackson Beck is doing the voice over for this spot. Pretty Great Commercial here
