1/JBR Designed by EDGE

In popular Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai, on land less than 260 meters to the sea, EDGE Architects designed a high-rise, 46 storey luxurious residential tower, 1/JBR. A building of this size in such a close proximity to the sea brings its challenges. It could not be designed using standard off-the-shelf approaches, everything needed to be thoroughly investigated and customized. The building canopy is designed as a metaphor for crashing waves on the beach, reflecting the rhythm of the Gulf and emphasizes the height of the tower. The project is not only a jewel in the crown for the JBR community and skyline, but will also add value to the area.
