KJZZ-FM “Jazz Fusion/New Music“ radio tapes 1992 (Phoenix, AZ)
A subscriber named “80sjazzrocks” emailed me wave files of these cassette tapes he recorded off-air from KJZZ (K-Jazz) 91.5, out of Phoenix, Arizona in 1992. From what I’ve read, KJZZ was a college campus-based station that played “lite fusion” and what was termed “new music,” much like late 80s 94Q Jazz Flavours, but not much info about the station’s past is available. There are many ethereal early 90s gems on here that I have not heard in decades. I have been looking for the unknown piece at 1:34:48 for over 30 years! This tape recording is the first time I have heard that piece since!! To Mr. 80sjazzrocks: Thank YOU so much for sending me these to share on here!!!
