Euthanasia or Homicide: Will NY pass the “Medical Aid in Dying” Act?

It used to be if a suicidal person went to the hospital they were considered a danger to themselves, incapable of making medical decisions, and it was grounds for treatment. Now in Canada and many US states (with NY determined to be one of them by passing the #medicalaidindying Act) now they can check a box and doctors - who took an oath to protect life - can help these patients k/ll themselves. Euthanasia or homicide?
