#ChicagoPolice officers protected those who participated First Amendment activity in the Loop yesterday. We were in communication with organizers throughout the route to successfully secure the area and demonstrators. Officers were also on foot posts along the route to provide a safe route for pedestrians in our downtown area during the demonstration. The assembly remained peaceful while marching from Wacker Dr. to 9th St along Michigan. The march then continued into Grant Park, where participants safely dispersed.
