Mitsuko Uchida: 2024–2025 Carnegie Hall Perspectives Artist
Pianist Mitsuko Uchida is beloved not only as a peerless performer, but also as a musical guide and mentor to audiences and other artists alike.
One of today’s leading interpreters of music from the Classical era, Uchida completes her three-year Perspectives series with performances of works by Schubert and Beethoven, giving an eagerly anticipated solo recital and appearing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Leading from the keyboard, she also brings to a close a multi-season residency with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra focused on the piano concertos of Mozart. In addition, Uchida continues her longstanding tradition of showcasing rising talents, performing chamber works alongside select musicians from the Marlboro Festival.
