The 61 km Bernina pass line, opened in 1908, features 13 tunnels and galleries and 52 viaducts and bridges.
It is a metre gauge line that links Tirano in Italy to St. Moritz in Switzerland and has inclines of up to 7% – as one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world.
As can be seen in the video the Bernina trains bring freight wagons with timber across the mountains to Italy in combined trains. Very practic.
