Aiki Ken Jodan Kamae 2 right flank variations The concept here is to first adopt Jodan Kamae (as done in the 2nd Aiki Ken suburi) and then defend to the right flank. I have subdivided the two defenses: the 1st goes to the right of the flank line of attack, and the 2nd to the left. Note: In the 2nd variation I step to the outside (left) of the line of attack with my left foot first, and then align my right foot into hanmi as I strike.
