Titles read: “Pathetone Lightens The ’Blackout’ With - DARK HARVEST!“ Gela Plains, Italian East Africa. Various shots of African workers gathering in a cotton harvest from the fields. The cotton is sorted into bales then weighed and carried off to be loaded onto carts. In another part of the country we see the wheat crop being gathered in by hand. Several shots of African men threshing the wheat and grain with sticks in their village. They lift the wheat so that the chaff is blown away by the wind. The grain is shovelled into sacks.
