Dawson, Georgia | What Happened To This Place?

Dawson, Georgia is looking bad. It is one of the most poverty stricken cities in The United States. Over 43% of the people here are living in poverty. Jobs are very hard to come by, with over 8% unemployment. Amenities are few, and commutes are long. The population as of filming (2023) is sitting around 4,143 people, which is a slow decline since the 1980’s.
