Elephant charges safari truck filled with tourists in South Africa

Frightened tourists ducked between seats during a tense standoff between a bull elephant and a safari truck in South Africa’s Pilanesberg National Park. The safari guide who warded off the elephant was praised by wildlife experts. Hendry Blom, a bystander who recorded the incident, told ABC News: “We were definitely scared, especially for the people in the truck because we thought they might die.“ No one was injured in the incident, though Mankwe Game Trackers told ABC News one family had been offered counseling after being left “extremely rattled.“ Subscribe to ABC News on YouTube: Watch 24/7 coverage of breaking news and live events on ABC News Live: Watch full episodes of World News Tonight with David Muir here: Read ABC News reports online: htt
