Visit Visit our website Part 1: This untitled, silent, color travelog dates to the mid-to-late 1950s and was taken by a Christian missionary traveling around Africa - likely working on healing leper colonies in Kenya and elsewhere. This film is likely paired with another film of a similar style made that depicts more of the missionary work. This particular film, however, depicts the pastimes of the missionaries such as hunting in the African savannah and observing the cultural customs of a local Maasai tribe. Please note, the film does include graphic footage of the deformities and injuries of local people suffering from leprosy that some people may find disturbing.
