Mid-air explosion blasts hole in Somalian plane

Awale Kullane, Somalia’s Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations, recorded the scene moments after an explosion tore a hole in the side of an airliner which took off from Mogadishu’s airport in Somalia. Officials at Somalia’s civil aviation authority said today (3 February) they had found no evidence so far of a criminal act in causing the attack, which happened minutes after takeoff.
