Rioters in Belfast have been blasted with water cannons after fireworks and petrol bombs were hurled at police in a seventh night of violence. Stones were thrown at police by gangs of youths on the nationalist Springfield Road, in West Belfast, close to the scene of Wednesday night’s clashes.
