Umpire Takes Relay Throw to the Head, Exits Game and Hospitalized During Yankees at Guardians

The New York Yankees were taking on the Cleveland Guardians in Cleveland, and during the bottom of the 5th with the bases loaded, Higshioka hit a ball to deep center field. Upon that catch and a Guardian runner tagging up, Andres Gimenez threw a relay throw and hit the umpire in the head. The umpire, Larry Vanover had to leave the game and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. We wish Larry a speedy recovery. CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE:
