Punch & Judy Clay Models

Oil-Based Clay Models of Punch & Judy, just before final modifications, sharpening and smoothing. TIP: Clay used: Monster Clay, by Monster Makers. This clay melts really fast in a microwave oven, so it is VERY convenient for small sculpts! For bigger sculpts, I use a crock pot to keep the clay warm and very malleable. Smoothing methods: preliminary fusing and smoothing: Alcohol Torch, by Buffalo (dental supplies). Final smoothing: a mix of rubbing alcohol and a little bit of mineral oil, with a stiff yet smooth bristle brush.
