Corey Fujimoto & Kalei Gamiao | Experimental Jams w Cornerstone Ukulele

We’ll go over this Cornerstone soon (learn more about Peter and Cornerstone Ukulele from a podcast we did here a month or so back) but tonight Corey & Kalei were figuring out and playing around with a few Snarky Puppy songs and some latin style grooves etc. (Correction, meant to say Michael League as leader of Snarky Puppy) Kalei plays a gorgeous new Cornerstone long neck tenor with a surprisingly curly port orford cedar top and koa back and sides. Sounds amazing, coming soon! Corey is playing one of the fattest sounding ukes to come through and at the site now, a curly redwood top stained bubinga Cornerstone tenor. He plays a Ko’olau single 0 guitar for Gretel. This is often how they cover stuff, one will bust out their phone and they’ll go at it for a while. I think the full Shokufan and Gretel arrangments will come from them. We’ll see ya soon.
