PLD Space Miura 1 Test Flight rocket launch (1st private Spanish rocket)

PLD launches Miura 1 from El Arenosillo Test Centre, Huelva, Spain on Sat Oct 7, 2023 at 00:15 UTC. PLD Space succesfully launched the Miura 1 suborbital rocket for the very first time on a test flight. Miura 1 went on a suborbital trajectory until it reached 46 km of altitude, experiencing microgravity. The rocket was then recovered at sea were it landed under a parachute. Miura 1 will validate technologies that PLD Space is developing for Miura 5, a fully orbital rocket. This launch puts Spain on the select group of countries with space access.
