No titles. Sandy MacPherson.
London.
In Pathe Studio we see Ronald Frankau, standing behind a cocktail bar. He introduces Sandy McPherson, the organist in rhyme, making references to “tunes getting stiffer, and organs may differ“ and so on. He also claims that the organ Sandy MacPherson plays in this item is the “famous BBC organ, now no longer extant“.
As he pours soda water into his glass, dissolve to top shot of Sandy MacPherson seated at the organ on a theatre stage (exact location unknown - BBC?). C/U as he says he is going to demonstrate some of the effects that you can get from the organ. He demonstrates the xylophone, bells, piano, harp and drums.
He then plays ’Any Broken Hearts to Mend’. Includes C/Us of his feet as he plays plus extracts of sheet music across bottom of frame.
This is duplicate of item in Pathetone PT 463 - see separate record for details. This version also exists in ’Pathetone Parade of 1941’ - see separate record.
