The “mockery” and criticism of Australia around the world is increasing amid the draconian measures put in place by the Australian government to combat the spread of COVID-19, says Sky News host Rita Panahi. Ms Panahi highlighted articles in publications such as The Atlantic and The Times of London, which commented on the freedoms Australians had lost throughout the pandemic. “Publications around the world which haven’t really paid much attention to Australia are wondering what sort of a dystopian nightmare we have turned into.
