Baby Weedy Seadragons Born at Birch Aquarium at Scripps (La Jolla, CA)

For the first time ever, Birch Aquarium has successfully bred Weedy Seadragons and now has two babies behind the scenes! Only a handful of aquariums around the world have successfully bred these unusual fish. We are so proud of our Husbandry Team and their 25 year effort. The baby seadragons are less than an inch long and have already had their first meals of tiny shrimp. These sensitive babies are currently not on public display so follow along for more updates!
