Makeshift shelter saves hundreds of dogs amid floods in southern Brazil

A makeshift rescue centre has been set up following devastating floods in southern Brazil. Hundreds of volunteers started the shelter in the city of Canoas to help reunite lost dogs with their owners. The city and surrounding state of Rio Grande do Sul have been particularly badly affected by the floods with nearly a quarter-of-a-million displaced.
