To get the most out of a training session and also to avoid injury, properly warming up the muscles of the legs prior to activity is very important for soccer players. One great way to activate the leg muscles before performing a normal dynamic warm-up is by using a resistance band, as shown in this video. This allows the athlete to engage the glutes, hips, hamstrings, quads, and thighs each individually and in a controlled manner, thus activating these important muscles that will be used during training! I am not a sports scientist or a professional in this field by any means, but this is something I have picked up from trainers and coaches during my time playing soccer and it certainly works for me, so hopefully I can pass on some of my knowledge to you guys!
