Marin Bicycle Museum and Mountain Bike Pioneer Joe Breeze (MC Episode 4 )

The Mobile Cyclist visited the awesome Marin Museum of Bicycling in Fairfax California! Joe Breeze, mountain bike pioneer and member of the International Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, operates as the curator of this facility. The museum not only houses an incredible historical collection of bicycles, it serves as an educational facility for informing visitors and groups about the rich heritage and evolution of the bicycle. The International Mountain Bike Hall of Fame is also housed within this museum and Otis Guy, ( Hall of Famer ) gave Anthony the rundown of what it takes to become a part of mountain bike history. Both Otis and Joe, along with Gary Fisher, Charlie Kelly and Tom Ritchey were helped to form the early days of true “mountain biking” as the sport we know today. In this episode, Anthony gets a firsthand perspective of the museum by Joe himself and hears some great stories and anecdotes of how it all went down back in the day. Otis Guy, Vice President of the museum, also runs his own bicycle frame building business and bicycling camp for kids right in Fairfax, California.
