Dragon’s Lair ZX Spectrum Walkthrough

I got reminded of this game by Spinny reviewing Aargh - must have been the loading for each level or something. Guide Dirk The Daring through 9 levels, slay the dragon and rescue Daphne. This was a conversion for the original Laserdisc game - I couldn’t get past the corridor with the skulls when I borrowed it back in the 80’s and wouldn’t have got anywhere here either without constant saving. The graphics are good for a spectrum game I guess, but the gameplay is really poor. Even when you know what the right key to press is, the game doesn’t pick it up half the time and I ended up hammering the keys Daley Thompsons Decathlon style to try to get the game to respond. The C64 version was very similar to this but a lot better.
