Goers! (1929)

“Here we are again,“ says Eve. Cycle racing is our latest invasion.“ reads the introductory intertitle. C/U of the front wheels of bicycles lined up for the start of a race. Dissolve to show the heads of the racers - all but one or two are women. “Getting off“ - (Easy for Eve.)“ C/U of the starting pistol being fired. L/S of the girls cycling towards the camera. Shot of the girls cycling from behind. It seems to be a cycle track. Various shots of the race. “Another kind of “goer“ - in America.“ Hundreds of women run across a large area of parkland. M/S of the running girls. Some look to be dressed in sports wear or some sort of guides uniform. Others are dressed in ordinary clothes. L/S of them running along a tree lined road. Some girls run hand in hand. “Anyone would think they were running to a bargain sale - !“ reads an intertitle followed by a shot of them running down a city street. We then see a finishing line - it has been some sort of running race after all. Note:
