The museum was also introduced as one of the most beautiful museums in Seoul by CNN. The traditional wooden furniture, which were made in the late Joseon dynasty (18th-19th century) that is exhibited in the museum were collected by the founder and director Chyung Mi-sook since her university years in the 1960s. Traditional Korean furniture were customized to complement the size and height of the windows of the rooms, giving them their own architectural, balanced, and even modern beauty.
