Rallycross Rome (Ford Capris & Escorts) - 1969

This film shows the sport of rallycross that was just starting to grow in popularity in 1969. Not only does it feature some of rally’s big names of the time, including Hannu Mikkola and Roger Clark, but there are also a number of incredibly rare Ford Capri 4x4s competing. These cars were only built for evaluation purposes, and used the Fergusson 4x4 system as fitted to the Jensen FF. In addition, there is a small amount of a Formula Ford race held as part of the same event, and a children’s pedal car race. This is a period film with a hallmark late 60s music track -- one for the 60s devotees and motorsport fans.
