Ready for some more tone pair training!? 🏋️‍♂️ We hope so! Because in part three of our tone pair drill series, we’re up to the most notorious of all the tones: the infamous THIRD TONE! 😱 With its ’falling-then-rising’ tone pattern, the third tone can be quite tricky for Chinese learners. When you hear it in isolation it’s a cinch - but the minute you find it alongside other tones, it can be much less obvious which tone you’re actually hearing.
