KOSOVO: KFOR TROOPS DEPLOYMENT: US SOLDIERS

English/Nat XFA Hundreds of American soldiers from the US Army’s base in Schweinfurt, Germany have been sent to Kosovo to combat spiralling violence. Deployment of the Immediate Reaction Force follows a direct request for back-up from K-FOR command. It’s in reaction to bomb attacks like this that has prompted the US military to react. And with national elections approaching in October, K-FOR fears that political as well as ethnic violence will intensify. K-FOR wants all its member countries
