This is our interpretation of the first playing of MS Harley 3542. The play is written as follows: “The first playing and beginning of the substance of the two-handed sword / the first ground begins with an hauke bearing in with the foot with a double round with 3 feet outward and as many homeward making end of the play with a quarter cross smitten with an hauke snatch setting down by the foot.“ - The First Playing of the Two Handed Sword
