Fleeing suspect clings to moving car as high speed chase goes wrong

Officers were involved in an officer involved shooting that occurred on interstate 5 in Lathrop. The suspect, a 40 year old Manteca resident identified as Juan Valdez, was wanted in connection to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Lathrop. Valdez fled officers, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect attempted to carjack a vehicle on southbound Interstate 5, a Lathrop Police officer on scene shot at the suspect. He was struck by the officer’s gunfire and was apprehended.
