Beginner Tennis Lesson: Forehand Progressions. How to hit a forehand in tennis for beginners.
In today’s video, John Craig works with his beginner tennis student Adriana on forehands. In his forehand progressions, he works on movement, ready position, unit turn, left arm stretch, grip, contact, extension, and the balance/control checkpoint. If you are a beginner you must first understand how to move to the ball before you learn your forehand swing. The footwork will help the swing blend together and produce a professional quality forehand swing motion.
