Filmed at the beautiful Dresden Frauenkirche, this concert features Anna Netrebko, Marianna Pizzolato and the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden conducted by Bertrand de Billy. Stabat Mater was written in 1736 by Giovanni Pergolesi (1710-1736), and quickly became the became the most frequently printed musical work in the 18th century. The program also includes The Seven Last Word of Our Saviour on the Cross by Joseph Haydn and St Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach.
