Premiered on 5 May 1930 at the Unter den Linden Berlin Opera, Erich Kleiber, conductor.
First recording of the complete opera during the performances at the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne in September 1992. Film restored and remastered in Altea Media Studios in 2023.
